MS "ADONIA" at Portimao

Seen here at Portimao in the Algarve is the MS "ADONIA" latest addition to the P & O CRUISES fleet during her maiden call to this Portuguese port on the 23rd of August 2011. The ship was built in 2001 for RENAISSANCE CRUISES as the R EIGHT at CHANTIERS DE L'ATLANTIQUE. "ADONIA" joined P&O CRUISES fleet this May and was christened by Dame Shirley Bassey, she is 30.277 GRT and cruises at an average speed of 18 knots. Photos sent by Antonio Silva author of the excellent PORTIMAOCRUISES.BLOGSPOT.COM, one of my must follow blogs, please visit for cruise ship visits to this well known Portuguese Port, working hard at the present to increase the number of calls in the near future, well worth it
