BRAEMAR in Funchal Madeira

Yesterday Fred. Olsen's BRAEMAR made yet another Summer call in Funchal, Madeira on a Dover based Canary Islands cruise. In the images she's seen underway arriving to the port's breakwaters from her homeport of Dover with the morning light peeking to the ship's sideway.
The BRAEMAR was launched in 1993 for Crown Cruise Line as CROWN DYNASTY along with another sister ship. Bought by Fred. Olsen in 2001 to operate mainly for the british market, she was modernized and lengthened in 2008, process that took place in the Blohm + Voss shipyars of Hamburg. Personaly she lost much of her elegance and her previous fine yacht styled design.

  1. Amazing pics João, I agree she´s lost elegance after the 2008 refit but still a nice ship

    All the best

  2. Not a bad looking ship, but still not so good as before the 2008 extensive refit.

    Regards!
